Have you ever noticed white spots on your nails?
In case you have, you shouldn’t be ignoring that and you should go to your doctor’s office immediately. They are known as the leukonchia and because of minor injuries to the base of the nail they are usually formed. They are caused because of the air bubbles in the nail and in some cases they can be due warts, fungus, psoriasis, eczema and it can be a sign of sarcodoisis (disease affecting the lungs, skin and many other organs).
A condition that means hyperthyroidism is plummer nail. It is often seen as white spots but you can also see horizontal lines or stripes on your nails. This can be indicator for malaria, leprosy, hodgkin’s disease or cardiac arrest. And what could mean hypoalbuminemia are 2 stripes (low albumin levels in the body).
That is an indicator for serious health problems and should not be ignored. It can be indicator for kidney disease, heart failure, liver cirrhosis, inter alia or simply irregular diet. Most of the cases it is inflammatory response to infection or injury.
